Manzano wins in the first round of the Italian Indoor Championship

Because of the suspension of the round in Bolzano, the 2004 Italian Indoor Championship has begun on Saturday, 8th of May, in the Palaghiaccio of Pontebba, north of Venice, and near the frontier with Eslovenia and Austria.

The organizer, the MotoClub Carnico, has assembled many of the best Italian pilots with the Spaniards Marcel Justribó and Josep Manzano.

Bad luck for Justribó, who in one of the sections, when he leaded the trial, fell from two and a half meters hitting a concrete block and breaking his tibia. He has to be operated in one or two days.

After a thrilling final, Manzano won followed by the three pilots of the Italian podium: Maurino, Lenzi and Fistolera.
